This stunning adjustable armchair, designed by the collaboration of the renowned Carlo Mollino and Antonio Gorgone for Arredo Casa del Sole in Cervinia between 1947-1955, is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. Manufactured by Ettore Canali of Brescia, the armchair features an adjustable backrest and has been newly upholstered with an Italian off-white boucle' and the structure polished. It also features brass hinges and racks, and is marked under one arm. As referenced in R. Colombari's "Carlo Mollino Furniture Catalogue" (Editions Idea Books - Milan 2005), a similar model is represented on page 53. This exquisite armchair was sourced in Italy from a private home near Cantu and is a must-have for any connoisseur of fine furniture.
