Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, table lamp model 1853, opaline glass and metal, Italy, design 1954, manufactured 1960s. The Fontana '1853' lamp designed by Max Ingrand is the 21" height version and feature a sating white blown glass globe with a light and glass shades with bulb. Top and bottom can independently be lit. Very elegant table lamp. This lamp production is circa 2006/2008.

Elio Martinelli was born in Lucca in 1922 and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence then worked as a stage designer. After few years and after several experiences in the stage design sector, he starts his own business into his office located in the old town center in Lucca.
At the beginning he focuses on interior design and fitting for shops, restaurants, hotels and pubs.
In 1996, his company takes part to the first edition of Eurodomus, at the architect Gio’ Ponti’s invitation and afterwards it is present at the editions in 1968, 1970 and 1972. It is also present to the 14th and 15th editions of the Milan Triennial in 1973 and to all the following editions of the Milan Fair, Intel and now Euroluce. Elio Martinelli has always been inspired by simplicity, geometry and nature considered from its manifold forms. Some of his successful lamp designs include Foglia, Bolle, Flex, Serpente, Cobra, Nuvole vagabonde, Biconica,Geronimo, and many others. Elio Martinelli spent every day into his company till he died in 2004. Some of his designs are still popular in our modern times

A cult object of design, the Pipistrello table lamp was designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965. At the time, the lamp used new and innovative techniques for manufacturing methacrylate when originally launched. The conic base grows in height through the ribs that connect the lamp to the diffuser. The glazed stainless steel telescopic stem allows the table lamp to adjust its height from 66-86 cm (26” – 34”) White opal methacrylate diffuser. White glossy lacquered aluminum base and knob.
